Beloved, on this 20th Sunday, we are invited to consider the value of persistence in faith. The Canaanite woman in today's Gospel is a powerful model; she demonstrates determination by approaching Jesus and refusing to give up, even in the face of challenges. Her example highlights that faith requires active engagement and perseverance, not mere passivity. This perspective is part of our community’s history, in which progress has often been achieved through resilience and steady commitment. As we reflect today, let us focus on practical faith—continuing to seek, ask, and act, trusting that God responds to consistent effort and genuine belief. Amen
